The Plus500 Brumbies have gone back to their roots for the design of their Super Rugby home and away jerseys that will be worn with pride during the 2018 Super Rugby competition.

The home kit, predominantly white and blue, dovetails nicely with the away jersey which reverses the primary colours and is therefore predominantly blue and white.

What both shirts have in common is the burnt orange that was prevalent in the earliest Brumbies kits.

The colour, which was evident in the popular Canberra Milk jersey that accompanied the formation of the club in 1996 is back in the new designs and was incorporated as a tribute to the original club’s colours following last season’s change to gold.

“When looking at the design of the new jersey for the 2018 Super Rugby season we were conscious of including the original orange that appeared on our classic kits of the mid-nineties,” CEO Michael Thomson said.

“The colours that are on the new home and away jerseys closely match that of those seen on our kits of the past and we are delighted with the new design and believe they will prove to be very popular amongst our fanbase.”

The jerseys are part of a range of new apparel available from the Brumbies with the team’s brand-new training t-shirts & singlets, basketball singlets and gym shorts also for sale to the public.

“The new range of apparel has been well received amongst the playing group and our staff who are very happy with the design and feel of the new gear,” Thomson continued.

“Our designers, in conjunction with the Brumbies, have come up with a multi-functional range of gear that looks good and will no doubt prove to be another great addition to the Brumbies merchandise range.”

The new Plus500 Brumbies home and away jerseys will be available online from this afternoon, Tuesday 18 December, and are available for purchase before Christmas with pick-up from Brumbies HQ in Building 29 at University of Canberra in Bruce via our new click and collect service.
