The University of Canberra Brumbies are welcoming fans to their Griffith Head Quarters on Saturday, 18 February for the ActewAGL Meet the Players Day.

As one of the University of Canberra Brumbies most popular annual events, the team will also welcome junior registrations to take place with all of the ACT’s Junior Clubs running stalls and collecting signatures.

Kicking off at 12pm, the ActewAGL Meet the Players Day will run through the early afternoon and wrap up at 2pm. There will plenty for the fans to get involved with, with all 35 contracted players on hand, pass the ball competitions a sausage sizzle.

The ACT region’s favourite mascot Brumby Jack will also make an appearance to entertain the University of Canberra Brumbies junior fans.

On the eve of the team’s first competition game against the Western Force, Head Coach Jake White said it was imperative the University of Canberra Brumbies were engaging their fans to entice them along for the start of the FxPro Super Rugby season.

“We are lucky to have a large following both here in Canberra and beyond, we recognise that the Brumbies is a popular team making it important to stay connected to our fans,” White said.

“This will be my first ActewAGL Meet the Players Day, but from what I’ve been told it’s always a big hit with the fans and with the players.

“It’s encouraging to know that we have such a solid supporter base and I would hope that we will see them all at Canberra Stadium for our first competition game against the Western Force on 24 February.”

The ActewAGL Meet the Players Day is a free event designed to give fans a hands on experience with the team. The event is proudly supported by ActewAGL.
