Brumbies in the Community

The CA Brumbies are set for a great season on the field in 2010.  Off the field the CA Brumbies also contribute in many ways to the community they are a member of and that supports them. Each year the CA Brumbies support many local charities, community organisations, schools and hospitals, and undertake numerous special event appearances.

As part of the CA Brumbies involvement in the Canberra community the players and key support staff will embark on an off-road charity mountain bike ride from Canberra to Mt Kosciuszko to raise funds for OzHarvest and Outward Bound’s Regional Community Partnerships program.

The charity ride will depart Parliament House on Tuesday, 24 November and after approximately 200 kilometres will finish on top of Mt Kosciuszko on Thursday, 27 November. The players and support team will be doing it tough, camping under the stars and riding through very undulating terrain.

Outward Bound will be assisting the players throughout the ride with course navigation and much needed encouragement!
