Larkham inducted to Australian Sport's Hall of Fame

By Brumbies Media Unit

Brumbies Rugby legend Stephen Larkham has been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame for his contribution to rugby union.

Having played 116 games for the Brumbies, including two Super Rugby premierships in 2001 and 2004, Larkham’s name has become synonymous with rugby excellence in Australian and throughout the world.

Capped 96 times as a Wallaby, Larkham was part of Australia’s dominant era between the late 1990’s and mid 2000’s. He played in two Rugby World Cup finals (1999, 2003) winning the William Web Ellis Cup in 1999, as well as Bledisloe Cups between 1998 and 2002.

The current University of Canberra Brumbies Back’s Coach travelled to Melbourne on Thursday night to attend the ceremony along with fellow sporting greats like Andrew Johns (rugby league), Kathy Watt (cycling), James Tomkins (rowing) and Adam Gilchrist (cricket).
