The ACT’s 2012 McHappy Day campaign was given two thumbs up by Brumbies players on Tuesday morning, with Stephen Hoiles officially launching the event outside the Civic restaurant.
Like the rest of the Brumbies, Hoiles has been involved with McHappy Day for many years, most recently working behind the counter at Dickson in 2010.
The latest campaign will be no different, with players heading out to McDonalds restaurants right around the ACT this Saturday.
In 2011 McDonalds are celebrating their 20th year of McHappy Day with an ambitious target of $3 million for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Hoiles said he was a big fan of the charity and was pleased to be involved again in 2011.
“McHappy Day is one of Australia’s most popular charities, they do a terrific job looking after sick kids and it’s a pleasure to be able to help them out today,” Hoiles said.
“Making 20 years is an outstanding achievement for any charity. We’ve been lucky enough to work with McDonalds in the past and look forward to continuing the relationship into the future.”
McHappy Day will be celebrated at all McDonalds restaurants this Saturday morning. Come along and show support by buying a Big Mac or making a donation.
